Set Up a Live Stream

Live Stream with Camera (using OBS)

Step 1. Create a match / practice

Click on the “+” button and create a match or a practice

Step 2. Click on broadcast

Click on “…” of the match or practice you’ve just created and select broadcast

Step 3. Prepare broadcast

Click on ok and wait until the broadcast becomes ready. This may take up to 90 seconds or so

Step 4. Copy broadcast info

Once the broadcast becomes available, you will see a screen similar to this.

Copy the Broadcast URL first

Step 5. Set stream info

Open a free broadcasting software called OBS. You can download it from this site if you do not have it installed on your device

Go to Preference (Settings) >Stream

Select custom as your service

Paste the broadcast URL from FL-UX into Server 

Paste the stream key from FL-UX to Stream Key

Click ok to finish

Step 6. Connect your camera

Connect your camera to your laptop using an HDMI or a USB cable depending on the camera that you have

Click on “+” under the sources section and select Video Capture Device

Step 7. Setup your new source

Name your video capture device and select the device source. 

You will see your camera from the drop-down menu next to Device

Set the Preset dimension depending on your camera resolution. We recommend using a 1920×1080 preset

Step 8. Start streaming

Click on start streaming under the controls section

Step 9. Check live stream on FL-UX

Login to your FL-UX account using any device.

Confirm that your FL-UX account is receiving the live stream. You will see the text “LIVE” on the top right corner of the match in green if done correctly

Step 10. End broadcast

Once the match is finished, please remember to END BROADCAST

If you do not end broadcast, it will continue to use your video upload time

Live Stream with Smartphones

Step 1. Create a match / practice

Click on the “+” button and create a match or a practice

Step 2. Click on broadcast

Click on “…” of the match or practice you’ve just created and select broadcast

Step 3. Prepare broadcast

Click on ok until the broadcast becomes ready. This may take up to 90 seconds or so

You can set the image quality and whether to save the video to the device

Step 4. Start camera

Once the broadcast is ready, click on start camera. This will turn on your camera and rotate the screen automatically.

Tap on the red circle to start the stream

Step 5. End broadcast

Once the your match is over, click on the red square to stop the stream.

Second Broadcast Angle

Step 1. Add 2nd broadcast angle

From a second device, login to your FL-UX account and click on “…” that’s going live

Then enter broadcast and click on create a new angle and prepare broadcast

Step 2. Prepare the 2nd angle

Name the second broadcast angle and wait until the broadcast is ready. This may take around 90 seconds

Once ready, click on Start Camera to turn the second angle on.

All angles will be automatically synced in FL-UX.

Switch angle

You can switch between angles by using the camera icon that’s located on the right side of the screen
